Really Symple Syndication (RSS)is a valuable asset to one's life, with this tool people have the privilage to have information sent to them instead of them searching through the internet. RSS is a a good alternative to have when you have a busy schedule in addition to that it is "spam free, a communication tool that helps you update, an excellent resource for companies, a means to reach customers, etc" (Breakenridge, 144). RSS can avoid you countless hours surfing through the net....so what are you waiting for? Go and create your RSS!

Another really useful RSS function (if it's not RSS than its at least similar) are Google Alerts. They're a lot like a feed except instead of subscribing to a specific website or blog, you set different terms for it to look for and when something new is put up on the web with those specific words, a link and summery is sent to you instantly. I really like this feature mainly because it keeps me informed about stuff I'm interested in, but that still are not important enough for me to remember to Google every day. (Like movies actors i like have signed up to do, when when comedians/musicians are coming in town, ETA, and so on).
